Significant system enhancements to DIGIMIC classic

At the start of the coming year, Brähler ICS will be adding several significant system enhancements to its digital DIGIMIC classic line

New CMic CSV with channel selector and voting function
CMic CSV

The award-winning CMic delegate unit will be enhanced by a channel selector and voting function. The system will feature 7 languages + floor channel and can still be operated as a stand-alone solution. The microphone unit has an OLED display (256 x 32 pixels) with a maximum of five keys. In addition to channel selection, the system features many voting and evaluation functions, such as classic Yes/No/Abstention or For/Against voting as well as information gathering and knowledge tests.

The system’s interpreter console is based on the successful DOLV console of the high-end CDSVAN conference system and can be hooked up to one of the four outputs of the DCen control console. Intuitive handling is facilitated by the console’s clearly laid out controls and the large backlit display, showing all activities.

All classic line DIGIMIC microphone stands can now be purchased with an aluminium faceplate on request. The microphone stand not only looks especially elegant but has a solid and robust feel to it. The perfect solution for rentals or anywhere else where a particularly high-quality look is called for on the conference table.

DIGIMIC now comes with Voice Activation!

DIGIMIC now provides automatic microphone on/off functions to be voice activated allowing hands free operation. The variable ultra fast voice detection of each microphone unit ensures that no syllable is lost.

The Voice Activation is programmable making it possible to allow for various conference settings, rooms, and speakers. In addition to voice detection (sensitivity) the hold time (time a microphone remains active without voice, after been switched on by the speaker's voice), is also adjustable. There is also an integrated voice filter helping to reduce unintentional microphone activation by extraneous “information.”

Of course, the new Voice Activation remains consistent with the original Digimic design philosophy. Simple and Versatile! Allow the customer to determine what is best for the application. Wired, wireless and/or both. DIGIMIC now goes a step further by providing Voice Activation in either and/or both versions.

Threshold can be adjusted within 16 steps, to fine-tune the threshold to conference area, room and speakers, as well as the hold time to adjust the customer's preference.

Several Voice Activation modes are available, e.g. limitation of open microphones to avoid too many micro-phones become active because of loud noises in the room.

If required the Chairperson can use his 'mute all' button to mute all microphone including his own microphone within the system. This feature can be used if a chairperson needs to talk in secret to his delegates, not using any microphone amplification e.g. he does not wanted to be heard from the far end of a video conference system. To keep the connection alive automatically white noise can be distributed to the video conferencing system.

Each microphone can be locally muted, to ensure a microphone remains off, when wanted by the delegate.

This mute function can be switched on or off.

The new VOX mode now comes with the DIGIMIC conference system as a standard feature.
